National Trustee Nominations

The SCLA Board of Trustees consists of eleven voting members. In addition to the seven national trustees (President, Executive Vice President – Membership, Vice President – Administration, Vice President – Conferences, Treasurer, Immediate Past President, and the AEI appointed trustee), there are four Regional Vice Presidents – one for each of the four regions: Northeast, Southeast, Central, and Western. The Regional Vice Presidents mentioned to the right began a two-year term of office on January 1, 2010.

The present term of office for the five elected national trustees (President, Executive Vice President – Membership, Vice President – Administration, Vice President – Conferences, and Treasurer) ends January 1, 2011. Therefore, an election will be held on October 22, 2010.

Members interested in serving as a national trustee must have achieved the Senior Claim Law Associate (SCLA) designation and should forward a notice of interest to Deborah Callahan, SCLA, President, Society of Claim Law Associates, P.O. Box 82, Basking Ridge, NJ 07920 or e-mail the notice of interest to: jchiara@aeiclaimslaw.com. The notice of interest may be prepared by you, expressing your interest to serve, or you may nominate a colleague whom you believe is interested and capable of leading the Society. The notice of interest should simply express who is interested in serving, provide a brief career history, including the nominee’s present employment, company and position, professional designations held – e.g., SCLA, and all appropriate contact information, including name, address, phone, fax, and e-mail. The notice of interest must be received on or before July 15, 2010.

The Nominations Committee will review all interested candidates and make their recommendations by September 1, 2010. The general membership will vote for the nominated slate of national trustees on or before October 22, 2010. For additional information at this time, contact an SCLA representative at (908) 766-5920.
